Authorities confiscated 100 pounds of cannabis products from an unlicensed dispensary in Manhattan's East Village.

The New York City Sheriff's office executed the raid at a location on East 10th Street. Among the seized items were cannabis flowers, THC edibles, and vape products, with nearly half of the haul consisting of flower.

The store's proximity to sensitive locations raised red flags for law enforcement.

“There’s a park right across the street, and a church nearby. Our aim is to ensure community safety while supporting licensed dispensaries so they can thrive and serve the public as intended,” Sheriff Anthony Miranda explained to ABC's Eyewitness News.

Miranda also cautioned against purchasing cannabis from unlicensed sellers, warning that such products might be untested and could contain harmful additives.
